Giving Back
O' Ambassadors A 4th throught 8th grade club sponsored by Oprah's Angel Network and Free the Children. This program supports the education of our students on the barriers children face in struggling nations. This group educates our school and community and funraises for our region of Latin America. SLCS has been a member of this program for 3 years and has raised almost $3,000. These funds have helped to supply hundreds of people with fresh, clean drinking water saving countless lives from illness. Tight 20
A group of 20 7th and 8th graders that helps to serve as role models and leaders for the school. These students are trained peer mediators who plan and lead Challenge Day. These students also help with tours and serve on student panels for various defferent events.
Teeny 10
A 4th grade leadership group that helps to serve as role models and leaders for the primary building. These students work on the O'Ambassador program and serve our school as conflict resolvers and defenders of those being bullied. |
