2012 Fall Peace Rally
Respect, Responsibility, Caring
SLCS is focused on integrating our core ethical values of respect, responsibility and caring into everything we do. We also kicked the year off at our Fall Peace Rally by introducing our new school-wide touchstone: "Believe and Achieve!" We want our students to know that by believing in the best intentions of others and being solution focused they can achieve whatever they set their minds to! It was wonderful to celebrate all of the amazing extra-curricular activities happening at SLCS and the students loved getting the chance to meet with thier field day families for the first time! All SLCS students this year will be creating their own personal touchstone to add to the "Believe and Achieve Rock Garden" that surrounds our flag poles in front of the elementary building. Overall, it was a great day full of fun school spirit--thanks to everyone who joined us and we hope to see you at the Spring rally, Multi-cultural Fair and Walk for Hope!
