♦  OASIS -  Share Your Love of Reading: Become an OASIS Volunteer!

The OASIS Intergenerational Tutoring Program promotes literacy with a proven approach designed to build children's self-esteem and positive attitudes toward learning while strengthening reading skills.  PCS invites individuals 50 and older to participate in this volunteer program to work with a child at our school one hour per week, during the school day.  Training and materials are provided.

For more information contact:

♦  Library:

Our library welcomes parent volunteers!  The PCS Library could use your help with various library projects from re-shelving books to sharing great books with students who need a little extra one on one reading time.  Please contact our school librarian, Mary George, at extension 105 to volunteer in our library.

♦  Grade Level Volunteers:

Primary School teachers need volunteers to help with laminating and cutting for small group activities, to be mystery readers in classrooms, and to go over sight words and sight word phrases with students (flashcards). Parents who are able to volunteer should contact your child's homeroom teacher. Any and all help is appreciated.
