Premier Charter School's 3 PE teachers are riding their bikes 180 miles in order to help raise awareness and funds for our school-wide philanthropy: Child Advocacy Centers (CAC!) The CAC of St. Louis will also be participating in the ride so PCS is excited to be supporting a local center.
Premier Charter School (PCS) students and families have already helped to raise over $933 in a single day with generous donations for our $1 dress down day. Students who gave $1 had the opportunity to have a voice in what their dollar was used for.
Currently, we are selling raffle tickets at $1 each for an ipod Shuffle--sales will run from now until Thursday, October 17th. The winner will be pulled on October 18th when we will see our PE teachers off!
Supporting CAC is a great lesson in giving back and since CAC is our year long philanthropy PCS students, families and staff will continue to raise funds all year long including:
- At the Fall Festival on October 26th, fun stationary will be on sale with proceeds going towards CAC
- Students have been making bracelets to sell through CAC and will continue to make and eventually sell these to the public.
PCS Students will continue to have a voice in how they want to help though service learning activites throughout the 2013-14 school year!
To culminate this event, on Monday, Oct. 21st, we will be welcoming 50+ bike riders to the finish line which is Premier Charter School! The Welcome Back Rally will begin at 1:30 and we hope you will be able to join us in the PCS courtyard.
More information on the rally will be coming home next week, thanks for helping us support CAC!
